Not mine, but what a neat car. $21,900 USD from a dealer in Maine.

Goldenrod Garage, been around forever, check out their web site some time, they always have a lot of nice stuff. This is certainly a unique one.

Yep, been there. Neil is a good guy. Gave me free run of the place  ... It's like a car museum.  Saw a beautiful Chevy Cameo pickup while I was there.

I stopped in when I bought my '64 Parisienne in Freeport.

The engine is the 370 hp 10.5 compression version with the heavy duty 3 speed transmission. Same engine code with a 4 speed. I had a lot of 1969 grand Prix parts for sale in Bothwell including an excellent condition fan shroud. Not wanting to bring any heavy parts home a lucky guy at the end of the market recieved a lot of free stuff. Complete front and rear bumper assemblies and some other parts. I keep the fan shroud as they are very rare in good condition and sell on ebay between $300- $500 US. The parts were of no value to me as shipping from Timmins to anywhere is just too expensive and I was happy this guy identified the parts and is working on a 69 gp.

I still have the 428 370 hp and turbo 400 complete combination and will use it in a future project. I do not have the actually production numbers handy but if I rembember correctly the hd 3 speed was installed in only a few cars.

So this would have Ford transmission I guess

I remember reading that in the 60s Buick, Olds and Pontiac performance cars used the ford heavy duty 3 speed

'Renowned for high-performance indestructibility, the Toploader, particularly the four speed, was equipped in such sought after "A-list" cars as the Mustang, Talladega, AC Cobra, AC Frua and Sunbeam Tiger as well as the Ford Fairlane, Falcon, Galaxie, Ranchero, Torino, Bronco and the Mercury Comet, Caliente, Cyclone, (Mercury Cougar 1967 1973) and Marauder. Overall the Toploader was used in 133 different models and was used extensively in racing as well. The 3 speed 3.03 was also the heavy duty transmission in 60's Olds, Buick and Pontiac cars, with FOMOCO cast into the right side. Chevy pickups used this same transmission in the 76 -82 Chevy & GMC pickups, vans and Suburbans. It is the Jeep T150 with a cast top cover with a cane (floor) shifter"
