starter/solenoid numbers

well still tinkering away trying to get the car started.I have the carb apart for a soak in carb cleaner and rebuild as it was full of old dried up fuel dust.Anyways my starter is starting to act up,i suspect I have gotten in hot too many times trying to turn the old girl over.So maybe on the hunt for a starter or solenoid. This is a later 2 barrel carb/intake motor that has been put into the 49.near as I can tell from the tag delco remy 110180 on the starter 1118140 on the solenoid. Not sure if these are good numbers as the starter tag is pretty hard to read

cleaned it up a bit more and disassembled the starter, brushes were very worn, ordered a new solenoid and brushes. Not sure if I got the solenoid too hot but hot enough it was smoking.Oh well another week wait for parts so will work on other stuff in the meantime.I believe the starter tag says 1107101.The solenoid number came up as a good number.

I received the new solenoid and brushes late this week and they appear to be correct so will try to find some time and get them installed and starter back in car this week.I also broke down and bought a completely rebuilt, dyno adjusted and set carburator. It wasn't cheap at almost 600.00 but that should solve any carb issues.
