Looking for ,1-SD hub cap (think they came on other models,years), 6 cyl PS pump brackets. Pic of cap Thx Jim

Will the power steering pump brackets be the same from the other sixes? Pretty sure I still have a set of them.

Just thinking out loud...does the ps pump run on the inside or outside groove on the crank pulley? Will check mine tomorrow to see if I have 2 grooves.

Jim, I'm quite sure the inside groove on the crank is always for alternator and water pump because manual steering cars would only use that groove. It's a long time since I had a 6 cylinder Acadian with power steering (1974, my first 65 SD, ripped out the 6 and put a V8 in of course!) but I'm quite sure that second groove on the alternator is just an idler for the PS belt.

Hey Jim, I have the whole set up still attached to the rusted boat anchor original engine from the Acadian, I'll take a pic and post it tonight.
Yeah I know, still haven't got around to putting it all on the " new" engine........

Well the brackets are different but look to put the pump in the same spot. So probably will work.

Thanks for the pics buddy! Think the one's from Jerel will work or can make work with a BFH!wink Now I have something to refer to.  Whens the trip out West?????? Time to re-pay!!  You were right when you said rusted..looks like the belt might handle a couple more revolutions..but just a couple!winkbiggrin
