All Pontiacs manufactured and sold in Canada were unique from their U.S. counterparts as GM of Canada fitted re-proportioned US Pontiac bodies to the Chevrolet Impala chassis and drive trains. Canadian purchasers of the 2+2 could therefore order any Chevrolet V8 engine option like the 283 and 327 in³ small-block engines, or the 396 and 427 in³ "Mark IV" big-block. The trim options were slightly different as well, with Chevrolet's 15-inch Rally rims were used instead of a standard 14" steel rim or the optional

Well there you have it. 1967 2+2 convert with 427 is worth $150k. Or $225k. Sounds good to me. I hope the seller does well. Obviously a fair bit of money spent. When you consider condition and rarity- maybe it should carry a hefty price tag. Date coded 1967 model year 427 engines fetch big money, and some '67 & '68 SS427 Impala convertibles have been offered north of $100k. When you think about it- our 427 equipped Ponchos are the rarest of all 427 cars. Hard to get past that price though. And this one has some custom touches it seems. I hope the seller gets it!!
Oh. And I don't favour those wheels.

Just trying to jog my memory here as I'm old and my memory isn't that great but pretty sure this car had some of its work done here in Kelowna at least 3 years ago. I talked to the owner and the guy doing the work lives a couple houses down from my best friend. It definitely was a high end car and for the many hours that get put in at whatever they are paying I can believe the number can get up there. Just have to find someone who appreciates it as much as you do. The wheels are the first thing that I remembered and it wasn't a positive memory for me but we all have different tastes.
First off stunning car. A few items wouldn't match my taste but if you can afford the price tag some custom items could be changed. I truly wish the seller best of success in selling his car.
I think that is only place he will find that kind of money. Not on KiJiJi.

Interesting location for the tailpipe location, more like the US cars than the Canadian cars had originally. It must be tougher to run them there.
yes I noticed that too. They came with a resonator tucked up on both sides between the frame and body. Also that would be a Jet Flame 385 horse. Just a few little things.
Stunning megabuck body to be sure. But I have to say, pretty common stuff underhood and in the chassis. Aim high I guess, there is usually somebody out there for every car.

Looking again- man that interior looks amazing! Except for the steering wheel and auto console, that is exactly how my 2+2 interior looks in my dreams. That engine bay is close to perfection too. I wonder why there are so few black Ponchos of this era? Maybe a little more emphasis on the actual numbers produced/rarity and bullet proof GM documentation would help prop up the price.
Yes but no, somebody send him the right air cleaner decal please, for $150 large ones I want that Jet-Flame 427 decal on there. Its a beauty though, no doubt.

If he didn't research the correct air cleaner decal then I have to wonder what else he missed.
Rare car, if it can be substantiated by GMVVS documents, but again you'd think a little research would've revealed the importance of documentation. If he spent all that other money then the cost of GMVVS is peanuts.
As much as we LOVE our Canadian Pontiacs.....Doesn't mean the rest of the world does...
$150K......seems HUGELY optimistic to me.....Perhaps for a high end 67 L36 Impala SS convert......in America......but our Canadian built gems......do NOT command that kind of $$$ anywhere....JMO
While all the experts are here......What is the highest price an Oshawa built Pontiac has sold for?
There was a 69 2+2 427 convertible that went for $45,200 in September 2009 that was certainly the highest I can recall for a same era big block Oshawa built car. It sold as a very nice restored car, not restored stock but very stockish appearing. A member on this forum was the purchaser in Michigan. The car was represented as being a one owner same family car when it sold in 2009. Originally dealer principal ordered in Oshawa but sold once it arrived at the dealership.
The pinnacle for an Oshawa car however has to be the sale of Al Websters's 1958 348 Tri-power robin's egg blue Parisienne convertible at auction in October 2009 for $95,230. Al Webster had an impeccable collection of cars and at that auction he was thinning the herd to the tune of $1.4 million in proceeds from the sale. I have made a live link above to our initial discussion on this car.
