Nice. Love it too. We sold our 86 several years ago to replace it with a 97 both diesels but newer one is 1/2ton with 8 lug wheels so better for towing. I do love that 80s body style so much though.
Love it. My first 'burb was an 88. Mine was buckets console truck but rusty when I got it in '02. Next was a 92 then a 2000 and now an 03. Still love the looks of the square body but do like the comfort and convenience and power of my 03 2500.
Had an 84 that was brown and beige. Daughters called it the banana.
They used to joke about how ugly it was and that no one would steal it until someone did. Police found it within an hour. Go figure.
Dang that is a lot of money for a square, holy crap! Must be an Ontario thing? I'm a real square body nerd, currently three in the fleet. I've noticed prices on them have gone up, but I never thought I'd see a plain 2wd 1/2 ton 88 burb priced that close to $10K, even in really good shape.
'64 Parisienne CS "barn find" - last on the road in '86 ... Owner Protection Plan booklet, original paint, original near-mint aqua interior, original aqua GM floor mats, original 283, factory posi, and original rust.

Lets get serious, you can pick up a much better truck with way more power and torque and amenities in great condition here in Ontario for a paycheque or less.
That's a nice 94 don't see many them around in good shape either. It does have 220k, still good for another 100 or so.
The 94 is still TBI so same power as the 88, not the Vortec 5.7 you have in your 99.
I love the look of the square body, just have gotten used to the niceties of the newer ones.
Need a rust free 78 body and drop on the floor pan of a good low mile 06.
sorry about the sideways pictures - getting used to the hand me down iphone i got from my wif
For the suburbans and blazers/jimmys I think they continued to 1991 with the square fender style compared to the trucks which got restyled in 87( I think)
Yes, replaced by the LS series in 99 for pickups but lived for another year in SUV and HD pickups and a few more yet in G van.
Lots of guys think the new interior and the Vortec came the same year, but you could get the new interior a year earlier than a Vortec. For some reason the trucks always get lumped into the category of 96-98 (or 99 for those few people who know you can buy 99 old style pickups) when in reality for 96 about the only change was the Vortec.
I've always thought the 95 and up interior was so much nicer than the 94 and down. More comfort, just an all around superior appearance and function.

Since then the doors, bumpers, buckets, frt clip have been sold, chassis & drive line went last week!! came out ahead $ wise, he was going to out a older truck body on it, but changed his mind, Sold it off in parts!!! My avatar pic is my LS swapped 1990 K5 Blazer. Still in progress but getting real close to being put back into service. It will see very limited winter driving from here on out. I hate fixing rust!
