On my drive home from work I took a couple of photos. With the leaves turning the scenery is spectacular. The photos never do justice. I took these within 5km of my home. I got thinking it would be interesting to see photos taken close to member's homes. We live in such a diverse country (and have many members outside of Canada) I figured why not start a thread to share what it looks like "close to home"
Here's the highway I take to work every day and this is the 5pm "rush hour"
It's quite a hilly highway so you often got some really nice views of the island.
I took this photo from the side of the road. In the distance is the Northumberland Strait and Nova Scotia
Let see photos from your neck of the woods! Try to take them within 5km of home.
Here's mine... the neighbourhood is based on a "Radburn Plan" ...no front street, just sidewalks, so kids can play, walk to school and playgrounds without ever crossing a street! It's a great concept... looks like a park, but I'm 3km from Portage & Main, a 15 minute walk to the Forks.

Always thought that was one of the coolest looking neighborhoods in the city. Perfect spot for kids with all that grass and no traffic out front.

Love the Norwood flats..used to live on Birchdale in early 80"s. For me was a walk to the "Wood" on Saturday afternoons for lobster and cool music.

'64 Parisienne CS "barn find" - last on the road in '86 ... Owner Protection Plan booklet, original paint, original near-mint aqua interior, original aqua GM floor mats, original 283, factory posi, and original rust.
Nice- you need a potato filed in late July to give the PEI feel to your pics. I can hear that ocean sound from that pic.
