I contacted the guy,he said the 65 Pontiac Peregrine Convertible belonged to his mother -in-law.
She bought it used in 1971 or 1972 and the hub caps were in the trunk.....
..he just assumed they were for the 1965 "Peregrine" (Parisienne) convertible.
