Heater Cores from RockAuto.com!

This is often the time of year when a leaky heater core is first noticed. Coolant dripping from under the dash, steamy vapors drifting out of interior vents and slimy film on the windows are some of the signs. RockAuto.com is ready to help with new heater cores by ACDelco, APDI/PRO, Four Seasons, Motorcraft, OSC, Spectra Premium,  TYC and more.

RockAuto.com has heater cores for daily drivers, classics and vehicles that are simply old - everything from a 2009 Acura RL, to a 2002 Hyundai Sonata, to a 1990 Ford Bronco, to a 1984 Volvo 760, to a 1962 Chevy Impala. Visit RockAuto.com and look under "Heat & Air Conditioning" to see the heater cores available for your specific cars and/or trucks.

I ordered a Spectra Premium heater core through Rock Auto. Actually, I ordered 2, the first one was ordered wrong at my fault, but Rock Auto accepted the return and the second time around was a charm! Plus, I used my Cdn Poncho discount code and everything turned out alright!

Heater core works just fine and I am happy.

Nice to know they are available from a good source, but it's something I'm keeping my fingers crossed that mine will never need changed. 50 years and running on luck.

Well, there is a bit more to this story that I will share in a week or two but my Harrison core was not leaking, yet.  When I removed the Harrison core, it did show some signs of sweating around the area where the heater pipes joined the core itself and there was a greenish flaky corrosion material around this area.  So, it got cleaned up but for an original 50 year old core, that is not too bad.  I am not tossing it as I think a Harrison core might be very difficult to replace.

The Spectra aluminum seems to work OK, threw good heat on the way to storage.
