Still waiting on my doors so figured I would finish my fenders and knock out all the plug welding underneath.

No way, I'm not that crazy, fenders total about 8 so far, maybe 12 total when ready for paint. I usually only put in 12-14 hours a week so maybe 250 so far.

Nice work...by chance did you post your emblem measurements in the emblem placement thread? Might help out some other members down the line.

OMG, if that wasn't a pain in the butt, fitting a substandard trunk drop to an aftermarket quarter is about the hardest thing I have done yet. The worst part is no one will even notice, but it has to be right. Check out the difference between the AMD drop, the top one and the Goodmark. Both had to be cut so I cut the cheaper one up, multiple times I might add. I have 5 hours into one side and have probably 2 more to go until its done.

Ahhhhh yes the wonderful aftermarket metal that doesn't fit! Some stuff is alright but I have yet to see any the aftermarket stuff fit like an original. You are doing a great job!!

Still working on right side, had to finish lengthening quarter before I could go any further. i had to verify length with my SD rocker molding and surprisingly I found it.

I must add, this seems like a lot of work for a driver.

I just read all your thread, great work. It's going to be a nice car. I rebuilt a VW bug a number of years ago and a guy who wasn't into cars came into my garage when it was all pieces, he said that such a big project would overwhelm him. His hobby was hunting, I told him what I was doing was the same as eating a moose, one piece at a time and it can't be done in a short time.

Thx guys, I never expected to blow the car apart this far, only thing left is the harness. I did check the fit on the HPI kit I got a couple years ago.

So I was wondering today why I never thought about a rotisserie before. I have only used it for a couple days but cant believe the time I am saving. The stuff I welded before but did every second or third hole because of hard to get spots, now just flip it whichever way to make it easier. I did the entire inner rocker to rocker yesterday in less then 2 hours. If you plan on doing a resto, buy one, you wont regret it. I knocked out one side of the nasty upper windshield channel today.
