I have yet to see a new car that does anything for me. Sad but true. Not trying to hurt anyone's feelings but that's the way it is.

I'm not even very excited about the look of our 9 year old G8 GT but it's so much fun to drive I'm willing to forget that it looks like every other car on the road and enjoy it for what it is and does.

I love the new Challengers   they are designed to look old .   I like the basic RT classic at 40 grand .

anything above it is wasted money

I was all set to order one, when I stumbled across a new /old Suburban .

Now happier with a 30 year old white a/c truck .

 X 2

The newer (for decades now) Camaros, Mustangs, Vettes, all look like crap.

I think the challenger is the best looking of the big three and the Demon is tops

Whatever anyone thinks of the car, I just talked my way into a 2017 SS rental at LAX in October without an upcharge. By far the most powerful rental I've ever had. If you forget it's a Camaro and compare it to the German competitors it's an incredible car. 60 in 4 flat and the quarter in 12.5 for $37,900 plus it goes round corners and brakes really well too (Brembos all round). Alright, the ZL1-1LE is twice the price but went round 'ring in 7 minutes 16. It takes a proper car to do that.
We enjoyed 2000 miles in the SS and, although I wouldn't have chosen the colour, it made it easy to find in various mall parking lots!

I like the SS. Unfortunately it wasn't sold here in Canada (like I could afford one if they were! biggrin )

I satisfied my urge to own a new muscle car in 2013 with one of the first ZL1 Convertibles, 580hp, supercharged, 6 spd automatic.  I took it to Lingenfelter for an upgrade to the supercharger good for 630hp.  Took it to the track several times for a best of 12.3et I think that was about 120mph 1/4 mile.  I bought drag radials to cure a slippage problem but never got a chance to try them out at the track.

The car came with the dual exhaust with auto open exhaust at 60mph.  The car started with the exhaust open up  to 1000 rpm then closed until 60mph.  After I got rid of the car my neighbor a couple houses down told me he loved the sound of me starting that car.  He said it kind of resonated through the glass windows at his house.  I noticed it but not as much as others as i was in the car with the windows up and the air on.

Bottom line was I had 75k invested in a car that just did not trip my trigger as much as my 63 Acadian SD shown in my avatar.  That car had a best time of 11.74et in the 1/4 and was so much more fun to drive because when it started up it was a part of my soul.  I never listened to the radio in the Acadian just the sound of the drivetrain.  Whether I was in O/D at 2700 rpm or balls to the wall at 6000 rpm, I loved every minute of driving that car.

I get what Forespeed is saying.
I bought a 2016 Mustang GT a couple of years ago. (similar to the one in the attached picture)
It's a nice car but I've got to say I "like it but don't love it"

It does everything well, but it just doesn't have the kind of soul that you get with an old car.

It's still a Camaro.

When you park it beside a 6 or even a four cylinder model and they almost look the same but they are less then half in price.... No thanks. Although I'd drop that drivetrain in my '65 El Camino in a heartbeat.
