It just looks like one of those driven seldom, driven gently, maintained fastidiously type of cars. I'll bet it has a 283 and it purrs quietly. If the body is original and as nice as it appears, this car is in amazing shape.

That is pretty much the plan. Get some decent pictures, get the story written up, and unwrap it then when the new owner is better prepared and has it settled in.

Yes to all comments other than John hasn't heard it run yet. Appears to be all original.

And the other thing is, I don't like the idea of taking the light away from that car at the top of this page right now. That wagon is likely the only one left like it. Every time I log in I marvel at how beautiful it is.
It's crazy that people had the money and space to have a car like this, take good care of it and seldom use it.

Given some of the beautiful survivor cars here (I would include both yours and this month's feature car as two such examples), it must be something truly special for you to express such enthusiasm.
Looking forward to the details!
Mark, this thing makes my car look like a project car...
I just spent considerable time on the phone with the new owner. There should be some updates hopefully in the next week or so. I assure you it will be worth the wait!
You are being way too humble about your car! It is a beauty in its own right!
I saw the teaser pics of this survivor and all I can say is I can't wait to see more pics and read its story! Of course I can be patient... but not too patient! lol
Looks like a nice little Christmas present for the new owner!!
Actually, it's John's wife's car, but I am betting if he talks nice she will let him sit in it and make engine noises as long as he doesn't start it.
He said she has fallen in love with the car, and I can't blame her. This is the kind of car that it would be fun to take out on a nice day and replicate some brochure pictures with.
Hopefully if all falls in place it can be featured sometime in the new year.
