LOL, I almost posted that one a couple of hours ago. I double checked the pictures because so many people can't tell a Buick from an Olds from a Pontiac 455 but in this case it is indeed an Olds engine.

My 73 w as a CHEVY 350 4bbl dual exhaust sport coupe . I bought it in Moncton and it was 1 of 2 in the maritimes

MAYBE owner had a old car with Olds in it .   not a usual swap .

Definitely a swap was done many years ago. Not my choice of engine to swap with but to each his own......

Olds Engines replacing Pontiacs were a common swap back in the day.

Pontiac Engines were scarce and Olds were plentiful.

Seen many early Firebirds with Olds power.

Thanks
Randy

Looks solid enough, a basic LeMans with the biggest engine possible, heck what an idea.

Remember the Stateside 1977 Can Am ? It came with two engines a 400 Pontiac and a 403 Olds, Catalinas and Bonnevilles and Safaris also had 403 Olds as did Firebird in this era until 1979.

Wouldn't be my go to swap but it works. Hard to beat that price, pretty cheap tire ripping torque.

I like it (go figure). Price is right, good value. Stock rear gear probably 2.41, should be at least a 3.42 to keep up with the modern crowd

I had a 1973 350 sbc with quad and duals factory. It was awesome . would bury the speedo in 2nd gear .   maybe it had 2.41's .  biggrin

A Toronado air cleaner 66/67. I like the 455 engine, tons of torque and run forever. By the lift bracket and power steering pump the engine is from a Toronado.
