Looking for my high school 2 plus 2

Looking to find out what happened to my 68 2 plus 2 I had in high school. It was sold in the early 80s in Sicamous BC. First pic is the original color which I had painted a dark green. Buckets and console 283 powerglide. looking forward to hopefully hearing that someone knows if its still out there. Maybe for sale!! Dare to dream!

Welcome here and good luck with your search.

I made your pictures easier for us guys with older eyes. Grief with sideways pictures.... I'll keep trying.

I think we got it now.

Man I have issues with upside down pictures. I straighten them out, save them and when I post them they are sometimes sideways again..

Thanks for editing those pictures....i posted them from my i phone and when i was doing it i had my phone turned sideways, maybe that is why they ended up sideways. Either way, thanks they look a lot better now Carl!

When a picture is taken a little bit of data is set on the picture to say "which way is up". Unfortunately older forum software doesn't look at that and always assumes one direction, which is right about 1/4 of the time.

It's like trash bags, the side that opens is always the 4th side.

I hope it looks better then this now,

But if you want to go back in time,

It will take some work.

Not sure if you are on Facebook but if you are there's a page called "Lost Muscle Cars". You can post all your info on there and it get's shared thousands of times. A few lost treasures have been found thanks to that page.

One thing going against your search - the color. A lot of times green cars become parts cars. Do you have the VIN. I heard registries could do a search but I'm not positive. Good luck on your search.

trying to bump this back up......have seen three 68 2+2's for sale in three years, mostly junk, and the most recent good one was in Halifax which is about as far away from me as possible yet to still be in the same country! Still holding out that i might come across my car someday....

If it makes you feel any better, I called about the one in NS a couple of months ago and was told that the frame had some welding on it.  He said the previous owner welded reinforcements to the frame but it wasn't rusted - but having seen many NS cars over the years it's hard to believe that the frame wasn't welded up because it was rusty...

MC , thanks for the heads up....it was pretty much what i was after, right color etc, but pretty hard to make a decision when you cant even see it....then the cost to bring it to BC was insane.....

That said, I didn't see it in person.  Once I heard that the frame was welded, for the money he's asking I decided to pass on it.

I would think that you would have a much better chance at finding a good one from where you are - after seeing the parts cars that Jerel is hauling home for next to nothing with perfect frames, why would you want anything from out east?  Usually it's us east coast guys shipping back BC cars because of the rust situation...

Dont forget to check the auto wrecking yards. You never know, it might have been in an accident or had mechanical problems and someone gave up on it.

In the '90's I owned the identical car-Dark Green- and drove it for 1 winter in the East Kootenay's then sold it off to become a demolition candidate. And yes I do regret parting with it.

Do you have an option to run a vehicle history report? Here in Ontario you can. I have never personally run one. I am told that if you do you can get the VIN of all the vehicles you have owned that were computerized. I believe that is 1973 for here. I spent 17 years looking for our lost car and brought it home safe and sound this spring. You never know and cant give up. The trick with me was to turn the 12 digit vin into a 17 digit vin. In my case I had to add 5 zero's on front and boom! it came up for sale.
