Not for the faint of heart, but pretty serious bragging rights there.

I'm going to say this was an American built car, and not Canadian.

American SS Chevs 63/64 had circle swirls in the aluminium, inside and out.

Canadian SS Chevs had  frosted look in the aluminium instead.

Aubrey Bruneau is the name you are looking for.

I believe we have a member here who bought a very nice complete driving car like this in 2017. He will have a pretty good idea of value when he sees this.

Saw this on another site, it is a Canadian car and he has the GM paperwork (there is no US car paperwork available), originally black, just needs buffing.........

Completely rebuilt, maybe in the range of US$40000? No asking price, I bet he wants $10-15,000 for that car.

Probably cost a fortune, but it would be a real looker when done, not to mention a rare and desirable beast!

I don't think I've ever seen an interior like this in a '64 Chevy - red dash, white seats/door panles and two-tone red/white steering wheel.  Is that original?  Looked in the brochures but didn't see any reference to a 2-tone deluxe interior package or anything.  Normally with white interior I'd expect to see a black dash and it appears that the carpet is black as well.

It's a beauty anyhow - hope somebody snags it and gives it the restoration it deserves!

Was there an Oldsmobile 409 as well or did the GM 409 make it to the Olds as well?

I don't think Olds ever had one and I don't think the 409 ever made it into anything but Chevy and Canadian Pontiacs.

Good to know.  I was aware of 2 about 30 years ago and wonder now where they are.  One was outside exposed, the other indoors.  For some reason, I always thought it was an Olds engine.

348's and 409 only came in Chev and Cdn Pontiac as Carl said. Other than that they were in heavy Chev trucks, never even put one in a pickup. Some 409's were also done by Mercruiser for boats, not sure about the 348's in marine. Marine had a different intake, it changed the deck angle for the carb, made it higher in the back to keep it level. Different valve covers and of course, different exhaust manifolds. Probably more stuff too.

The blocks all had the same deck height, unlike later truck BB's with the high deck.

Easy fix .    just add 70-80,000 and you will have a mint car .

Might be worth it to someone, but to me all I see if a money pit with 409 emblems. The emblems are the cheap part...
