Back in the mid-80s to 90s there was a fairly informal car show in Regina, Sask, called "Collectors Car Show and Shine" or similar. I had my black Laurentian there in about 1985 and I saw what was at that time (and might still be!) the nicest '69 2+2 I've ever seen. It was gold, a hardtop, and I'm pretty sure it was a four speed with a white shifter knob. Being 17 years old or so I didn't bother to take a picture (duh).
I thought for a second it might be that gold one that showed up here (oh my goodness I hope not), but the car I saw in Regina would have to have been just a 350 or I would absolutely remember that (if it were a 396 or 427).
Has anyone ever seen the car in question? Since I never saw it before and never saw it again, and it was at a car show, I'm guessing there may be a well preserved 2+2 in Regina somewhere. It was immaculate when I saw it back then!

Good, it scared me when I first saw it since it was so close. But I'm pretty confident the Regina one was a small block. That means it could still be out there!
Nope, that's a different gold one. That is an automatic 396 2-bbl car if I'm right and lived on a small town maybe an hour or two outside of Regina. I remember my brother and I went out to look at it and it was so cold (-30ish) that the interior windows on full defrost kept icing over. That was 15 years ago at least, but i've got a bunch of pictures of it. It'd be a nice car if restored!
We must sound like absolute nuts to outsiders, tracking a 1969 Pontiac with the trailering package like it's a long lost Duesenberg, each one with it's own unique identity...
