65 Parisienne CS convertible on kjiji Edmonton

drive train has been updated

in Sherwood Park

the purple paint sure isn't original. It's hard, from the pics, to get a feel for what colour it actually is.

Good point, did the Canadian Pontiacs in 65 offer the equivalent of Iris Mist? Beaumonts had it I think.

We had a parts 65 CS that was painted Iris Mist if I remember correctly.  It would have been very striking when it was new for sure.

I love this car. 65 Custom Sport is my favourite fullsize CP.

I would just dress-down the engine bay to maybe look like a 454, change the rims and drive, drive, drive.

 Did some digging

The 65 US brochure lists code P as Iris Mist

The 65 Cdn brochure, atleast the early one, doesn't list colours

The 65 Cdn salesman's book lists an Evening Orchid Metallic which is asterisked as a new colour for 65

The Cdn Dupont and Cdn R&M swatches list code P as Evening Orchid Metallic.

Of the 3 pictures with the ad only the one showing a side view with the top down is even close to Evening Orchid

Yeah That what that parts car's colour was-Evening Orchid.

Very subtle, very nice colour but probably not for a 409 car eh?

There is a 65 Parisienne conv. here on the Rock, the owner told me it was Evening Orchid. There is also a 64 Impala SS and I was told the colour was Light Evening Orchid. Nice colour.

There was one of that colour in the woods here near Bridgewater, it had buckets and was slowly melting into the ground when I saw it about 10 years ago.

I am thinking I might know of a 65SD in Iris Mist/Evening Orchid, whatever Beaumont may have called it.

Since Beaumont was a CDN brand it would have been known by the Canadian name. 65 Salesman's Book confirms that 65 Beaumont was available in Evening Orchid.
