Rubber boots and retainers for '69 four speed

I think there are three rubber pieces I need - an outer boot, a shifter boot, and a reverse lockout rod boot. But then there are retainer rings too.  Some of this I have, some I likely don't.

Does anyone know of a good diagram for the "soft parts" between the transmission and the car, like the boots and retainers?

Thanks!
Dave

Here's one style:

Here's another:

...or do you need both?  I was thinking the first one would be for a bench seat car and the second one for a console car?  But I need diagrams...

Seller refers to upper and lower  and 4 speed .       they look good .

I sold a 69 4 speed console a couple years ago, it was very complete with all the boots, etc. I'll dig up photos a bit later tonight and post them.

Here's what I have - this might actually be complete, but I can't tell if what I have is the little clutch pedal boot or the reverse lockout boot.  Do I need one of each or just one?

Parts book to the rescue! 3920375 is the big rubber square thing, 3920377 is the part that goes right over the shifter. Those are also those eBay part numbers, so I guess I'm buying some pricey rubber parts!

Now to hit "refresh" 1000 times until they come up in the site banner

Here are pictures of some NOS console boots that I have been sitting on for years . Extremely rare NOS parts .  There are some now reproduced ( on eBay)

The clutch rod boot is a rare one too . Do not throw that one out ! ( I have made that mistake myself) They are not reproduced . They can be rebuilt by a fellow on the SS427 site , but he requires your old clutch rod boot ( as there is a metal plate inside of it )

I'm not sure I will ask what you had to pay for that stuff Howard...

Here's some photo's of the console I sold a couple years ago.  I remember Howmac saying it was about the most complete one he'd seen in a while.

68 69 4 speed console 10.JPG

The middle photo shows the underside of the slider.  It's a reproduction, so the bottom likely doesn't look stock, but the top side was good.

Notice the lower boot has the two mounting rings.  One to attach to the shifter hump, the other to attach to the bottom side of the console.

Howmac, are you sitting on them with a project in mind or would you consider selling them? I was going to grab the reproductions off eBay, but of course would prefer GM if they've aged well!

Also any idea who I need to contact on the Impala site by chance?

I paid a considerable amount of $$ for these NOS about 10-15 years ago , and unsure at this time if I will part with them yet. I have yet to see NOS come up for sale since .

Would like to keep as I have a couple of  69 B body 4 spd console projects to be finished .

The ones on eBay are very good reproductions . (I know , as I did buy a set too )

*** On the clutch rod boots , I had a couple repaired by a fellow on the SS427 site , and I can not find that paper work or name at this time.... but am looking

Hope this helps

RE: Clutch rod boots

Yes , Andrew ... That's the name  !

Dave ... contact Big Iron  on the SS427 site . He ( Lynn) should be able to look after you . he will need your old boot to salvage the metal bracket embedded inside of it .

Rubber boots and retainers for '69 four speed

Thanks, I ordered the repros. I made sure to do it through the board ad, and they were $500 CDN, so better show up!

I'll check and see if can track down Lynn!
