Ha ha, I used to see a '71 Vista Cruiser bracket racing at Dragway Park in Cayuga back in the late 70s / early 80s. Also somewhere I have a Car Craft magazine from '72 where they did a road test of one. Of course they added mags & wider tires plus fog lights before doing the test.

Two comments:
- there's my 70 Parisienne & 2+2 steering wheel. This time up side down. Olds used it both up side down, and right side up.
- In 2006 we were in Southern California, and were in Huntington Beach and saw main street was going to be closed on a sunday morning, which if I recall was St. Patrick's Day. We presumed it was for a St. Patrick's Day parade, but when we happened to drive by, it was actually for a car show. With Huntington Beach being Surf City, there were numerous, and I mean numerous, station wagons there with surf boards poking out of the rear windows, etc. Front and center were Vista Cruisers, just like this one with the fake wood paneling.

There is (was) a member on here with a light blue drag Vista Cruiser, but I can't find his posts.

Darryl, think you may have been referring to Chris out of Winnipeg with his 65 Beaumont wagon. He nicely grafted in a Vista Cruiser roof and one of his avatar pictures shows it launching at the track. I met him and saw it in Winnipeg and its an awesome car. Think his handle is Beaumontwagon.

Yep. No wonder I couldn't find it ... it's a Beaumont!
