Is this a rare Ram Air V tach?

...or merely a common JCWhitney?  It came on my car, and before I toss it in the bucket of despair, wanted to make sure it wasn't a factory piece!  There are no markings that I could find but it's surprisingly heavy and well made.  I'm guessing vintage aftermarket?

I'd say it's some aftermarket piece. Any photo's of the wiring?
