We've got an ugly one going here. March 4th, we had lightning and thunder 2 hours ago, now we have a blizzard and the lights are flickering. Could be a generator night tonight yet.....

We had one of those last Thursday, lightning thunder then got dumped on here in the falls. Hamilton got only 5 cm. They had a record high the day before of 13 c
'64 Parisienne CS "barn find" - last on the road in '86 ... Owner Protection Plan booklet, original paint, original near-mint aqua interior, original aqua GM floor mats, original 283, factory posi, and original rust.
Manitoba Hydro has done a fine job of keeping us going, it appears we never lost power totally. Couple of times the lights dimmed for a bit, flickered a bunch of times but so far so good.
Highway from the US border to Winnipeg is closed as well as a bunch of other highways. So far no school cancellations listed but it's early, 6 AM, I'm sure they will be.

Lots of school closures now. Our hwy to the city is closed. Power still on here but lost it to the water plant for a couple hours. Water back on now. Lights flicker from time to time.
Had to go out and pull the snow off the canvas garages lots of wet heavy stuff sitting on them.
Snow day for me so far. My hero days of driving in this to get to work are over.
Yup, same here, I'm not the hero I used to be. My route to work is actually not closed but home is just a great place to be right now. I haven't checked in front of the garage but from what I can tell I likely have to clear snow to get out anyway.
Looks like a good day to work on my car.
Wanna come and help me cut a hole in the floor Dan???!!!

I remember those days - listening to Red Alix, hoping schools would be closed...then, if they were closed, listening beefs and bouquets, then to Peter Warren yell at people. CJOB action line, 786-2441?, stuck in my head. "Turn your radio down please - Hello, hello, am I on the air?"
Carl I would love to. Just finished blowing out the driveway and went for drive around town. It was all I could do to keep moving in the 3/4 ton Yukon XL in 4x4, I ain't going anywhere till allthe roads are plowed.
Ya we had a huge branch down on the driveway-thank god it didn't hit any of the 4 cars that were parked there.Snow is super wet and heavy-snowblower time for sure no shoveling happening -period.Came to work on the perimeter hwy-pretty quiet morning-traffic wise.Came to a stoplight and all the snow onmy roof of the truck came forward-total loss of visibility.Had to get out and pull it all off with my arms-brush wouldn't do it.We definitely need the moisture though.Southern Manitoba is a tinder box this winter.Glad the snow came.
