Factory 283 2-barrel with factory 4-speed. That seems like an economical yet flexible drivetrain.

The 283 emblems have been added, 1966 just had the flags on a 283 Impala.

Thanks

Ripley's believe it or not, I had a 1967 4 dr Impala, same color, with that hood.
This was about 1977 and I had a hard time selling the car for $600.00
Always was curious as to how this hood ended up on a 4 door.
It looked original but I don't think that would be possible.
283, PG, nothing special, not a great car, just that darn hood???
Thanks
Randy

Didn't know you could get a 4 speed with the 283 in a full size, in xframes, it was not an option once the 327 came out in 62. No 4 speeds with any 283.

1968 sales brochure shows a 4 speed available with a 307!!

Thanks
Randy
