What would super-bright blue LEDs look like in a 69 cluster?

Short answer, very blue.  Very, very blue.  Too blue.  Enough that I prefer stock, but it was a fun experiment!  I got the PCBs from Clint and started to rehab the clusters I have...

On your car with the blue interior, I think it would be awesome.

The real trick would be the radio light !

I'm actually intrigued by them. I think it might look pretty good if you could dim them down in a controlled manner. Down enough to just light the white graphic and red needles, while at the same time not reflecting as much off the background or lens. It's always difficult to capture the true intensity and look of what your eyes see compared to the photo with led's.

Green might look pretty good.

They are dimmable I found; I actually have less intense/cheaper LEDs too. The nice thing about the 1969 colors (and probably 1970) is that they're a little luminescent - they respond to "black light" which these LEDs seem to be.

Here's with white LEDs.  I like it a fair bit as well, and it can be dimmed as needed.

The blue makes it look like a VW dash. I like it but not in character for our cars.

I seriously love that rally dash. Probably couldn't afford one but very sweet.

For the 427 car, as I am going a day 2 look, I will be adding under dash gauges and column tach to finish that look.

Keep up all the posts Dave, as I really like to see the progress and finishes that you are doing.

The deep blue could work if you added a few fish...
