Go Jets Go!!! Its gotta be a tall thin thing with Carl and basketball-something that I am definitely not.Hockey is a Canadian sport-how can you not get excited about the Jets and playoffs!!Oh and ya I know Basketball was invented in Canada LOL. Did I say" GO JETS GO"
The support the Jets get from Manitoba fans is just unreal, what a fun game to watch tonight. It's hard to think we didn't have a team in Winnipeg for so many years. I always cheer for the Canadian squads however the Wild played a very good game tonight. Its not going to be a cake walk.
how old am I ? I was alive when the leafs won the Stanley Cup! That's old
I was at Nathan Phillips Square when George Armstrong brought it to the big party in '67, I can still see him scoring the clincher in the empty net from Pulford and Kelly.

Yes! Those were the days of REAL hockey. That's not old that's very mature. Too bad the Leafs couldn't come through in the end. Go Jets Go!
The game was their's for the taking Rask was absolutely terrible but they never tested him in the third. As an old coach that would hurt, its always so hard to get that killer instinct into the boys. Their foot was on the snake's neck they just wouldn't squash it.
But hey how about Jake DeBrusk, what a great kid ! I coached 1996 boys for two seasons a few years back, makes some guy like me so proud, not to mention his Dad, Louie.

Time to clean last year's turf off the golf clubs ...

And lots of people in Canada pulling for the Jets. Its going to be a tough battle with the Cinderella season Vegas has had so far. What a grind. I'm so glad I got to the Jets play so much, plenty of impressive young players, and Tanev #13 grew up just blocks away from us. Lots to Cheer for!
Yes, I am hearing a lot of Canada is behind them. I know very little about it, never watch hockey (saw a little bit of the 3rd tonight) but I hear this next series could be more than they are capable of. No matter, they are getting great support and it's exciting for Winnipeg.

Just remembering when the Canucks were in the playoffs and many Canadians including Winnipeg people were bad mouthing them and going for the Bruins instead. Go Vegas!
Gerard Gallant is a PEI treasure and coach of the Knights, on the other hand Byfuglien is an American born goon. Having said that I will be going for which ever of these 2 teams win when they go against their eastern rivals for the cup.

Well, the Winnipeg roster is only 40% Canadian born and then even though he's born in Canada, Stastny is an American citizen bringing it down to 37%.
The Vegas Golden Knights roster is about 85% Canadian and they have the awesome aforementioned PEI Islander Gerard Gallant as head coach who has done and is doing an incredible job.
Both teams are very deserving of the opportunity they have in front of them.
The big question out there though, Will the OV curse prevail or is this the year Ovechkin can get it done?
I think I like Vegas' chances better than the Jets at the moment. Oh, I'll be happy either way, but I feel like Vegas is going to the big dance in their inaugural year...
I think it would be memorable if either Jets or Vegas wins, anyone but OV as well.

Everybody loves a cinderalla story and by far Vegas is it this year. With over 80% Canadian players and all of them left unprotected by their former teams I would like to see them win. As long as Montreal is out I am happy. I like to see different winners every year and with last nights Washington victory Tampa better wake up like they did against Boston.
