I have 2 of them, but they are 13 lbs.  Both look identical

These specifically came off of a 1962 impala,  and a 1963or4 Nova.

They are for sure originals off survivor cars,  they say "made in canada" on one end, and have "559-13#" on the other.

Were the 13 and 15 used for different engines? or years?

By using the word "cores", are you suggesting that the rad cap can be refurbished?

I really wasn't sure where this thread was headed. I've likely got a few that are candidates for restoration, but I'd like to have them done for my own use.

Is it possible to get the info of the guy that restores them?

The before and after is amazing. I would be interested in the info of the guy that restores them as well. This of course doesn't help you find cores but wow, the restored cap looks brand new. One day I am going to re-core my Harrison rad and a nice shiny cap would be icing on the cake.

Andrew, it is good to know that they can be restored. Thanks for sharing that information.

One thing to know is the cost. I believe Andrew told me at one time it is quite expensive.
