My lady and i are planning a two day trip in Ottawa this coming late June. Any ideas from anyone about what to see and what to do there in Ottawa. Any information would be greatly appreciated. We plan on driving there. Cheers.

War Museum FOR SURE!!! When I went with our daughter last fall we both agreed that and Chaudiere Falls (lit up at night with music) were the trip highlights.

By the way, we are not planning on any government building trips there. I do not want to boil my blood, knowing all the criminals that (work) in those buildings.

The "Robbie's Special" at Robbie's Italian Restaurant on St. Laurent Blvd. - You won't be disappointed. The place might look a little fancy, but it's for everybody.
And for something a bit different, Louis' Restaurant & Pizzeria on McArthur Ave. Small tables and cute french servers.
As you can likely tell, I like Italian food.

I've been watching this thread with some interest as well as my plans are to be there June 10 and 11th. I have to be at the airport on the 11th in the afternoon for a pickup. Looking forward to checking out the city to see what it has to offer.
'64 Parisienne CS "barn find" - last on the road in '86 ... Owner Protection Plan booklet, original paint, original near-mint aqua interior, original aqua GM floor mats, original 283, factory posi, and original rust.
Spend the extra money and stay downtown-that way you can walk everywhere-the politicians are on a very long summer vacation so take a trip thru the parliament buildings -they are awesome-the library there will blow your mind-the Byward market is great as well as the war museum-take the tour of the mint-very interesting tour-if you ever have the chance go there for Canada day-it is an amazing day-we go there every few years and enjoy it!!!
Keep on Cruising!
Dave
I have over the years stayed at many B&B places and now Air B&B
They both have websites and you get to talk with people who actually live there and are delighted to entertain you with a hearty breakfast with all of the pertinent information to make your stay great..... you may want to stay a few extra days for the B&B or Air B&B experience.
