Has pictures of 67 Beaumont grills I emailed for price he said if grill needs rechroming $1500.00 ouch think I'll talk to local body shop any one know who does this in Winnipeg
I don't think that its a case of Dale being greedy, it think it is the result of chrome prices going through the stratosphere due to the Ministry Of Environment's very strict, nearly unworkable demands.
Despite the exchange rate it may be cheaper to ship them to a U.S. chrome shop.

I am in the Tampa area for the winter months and go to quite a few car shows. All the guys in this area send most chrome out of state for rechroming. Strict environmental standards has led to many shops closing. I deal with a guy in New Mexico that gets all his work done in Mexico for the same reason. The last parts I had redone were done by a company outside of Montreal. A 55 Pontiac front 3 piece bumper in high quality chroming was $1800 with out shipping cost and that was over 5 years ago.
There isnt a chrome shop left in Oregon, there is one in Washington which is extremely expensive so most stuff goes to California and onto Mexico. I was quoted 400 each for my Beaumont bumpers and am going to have them done because the price is only going up.

ya grill re chroming is not cheap and neither is the time it takes to repaint and detail a grill afterwards-been there done that-took me a ton of time to do it right. Beautiful results when it was finished for sure-if I was to do it again-I would send the grills for the $1500 for sure.
