I've seen quite a few of these conversions on the net, not sure if they were mostly home-made and/or if some company did them back in the fifties through the seventies. I'm guessing that most of them are home-made conversions of professional cars (ambulance/hearse), taking advantage of their heavy duty chassis, but I'm not sure to be honest. Also, not sure where the Nova in this thread would fit in...
Friend of mine here in Halifax bought one of those hatchback camper kits a couple of years ago. The guy he bought it from purchased it with his brand new 73 or 74 Nova. It was still in its original unopened box and still smelled new. It's in amazing condition, and my friend is going to set it up with his 73 Nova at car shows. Pretty cool when you see it set up.
