You can't read the writing on the door but it says "Trump Oil." When I was just a wee little guy, there was an oil refinery called Trump Oil about a 1/4 mile from our house. A few attempts were made at keeping the refinery running but eventually it folded for good in the mid 60's. A lot of local people invested in it and lost their invesment. My brother bought the property in 68 and started an auto wrecking there as a hobby but eventually it became his full time business. Flooding forced him out of that spot permanently in 1979 when he moved the business into Morris and the property was turned back into farmland, which had surrounded it when it was operating. My friend did this truck as a sort of tribute I guess. The truck is on a Dodge chassis with a Cummins. He and another friend of mine built the truck from scratch in less than a month!

Yes, that's him. He and Norm set out to do that truck in two weeks but it took almost a month. They made it into a "Longhorn" (as evidenced by the emblem) because it was easier to lengthen the box than to shorten the frame! He displays it with some authentic Trump Oil barrels that are still kicking around our area, as well as I gave him a copy of my dad's Trump Oil shares certificate that I still have. My dad's inheritance was shares in a refinery!
