I did that on my 'Chief when it turned all zero's- probably the second time. But you never know. When I got the car it had been sitting in a field for a long time just north of Calgary.

A friend had a 1972 Parisienne coupe that was in great shape. The car looked like it had 40,000 miles but he sold it as if it had 140,000 pampered miles (it actually had 240,000 miles). This was a few decades ago. The car was actually in better shape at 240,000 than most cars with far fewer miles.
He also owned an Astre with well over 100,000 miles (it was a rare L'il Widetracker edition) that was amazingly solid. Anything over 40,000 on an Astre is gravy. He and his family knew how to maintain cars.

Most memorable experience in 99,999 turning over was decades ago when my friend's 54 Chevrolet turned over just as we approached the
American guard at the Windsor Detroit border late one night. We were so excited about it turning over at that point, we totally neglected the guard for a few minutes.
Fortunately the guard took it in stride and let the three of us into the U.S. without having to pull us over for a check.
My 65 SD has little bit more on it then yours.owner parked it soon as it went over
He must have been close to home!...or drove it around the yard till it tripped.
Parked at his friends a guy with the local garage. Sitting in the trees with a half dozen other cars that never moved again till both friends had passed away and the widow had an auction
