Not many around that nice. Carl Stevenson can tell you what great cars they are - expecially when you convert them to manual transmission!

Was the frame painted on this one Don? I remember the frames had a fair bit of surface rust on them when they were only a couple of years old.

Haven't seen the car up close Todd but I'd say you are right. It'd be a great car with a manual shift, a great go anywhere cruiser. These things were great on fuel if you weren't pounding them, much better than any SUV or today's pickups. You could probably haul a motor in that trunk too.

Absolutely, still one of my favourite "late model" cars of all time.

My nephew from Alberta bought our automatic SS when we sold it. He was here this week and we both agree they are one of our favourite cars to drive.

My SS that I did the 6 speed conversion on is sitting pretty much abandoned a couple of hours from here from what I know. I don't have any room for it but I've been tempted to try to buy it back. For about 8 years my daily driver 24/7/365 was a 6 speed Impala SS and it was FUN!
