That is an incredible WWII story. Every kid I grew up with father served in World War II, these guys were cut from a different cloth than fathers today. As tomorrow is Father's Day I'm thinking about my Dad now in the belly of a Corvette crossing the Atlantic on convoy duty or coastal patrol. As a stoker you were pretty much doomed in a torpedo attack. It is hard to find the words to thank them all.
