Car at our Cruise in tonight.

Guy pulled into our local cruise in tonight, A Pontiac 2dr wagon. Looked pretty neat.

did not get to talk to owner so no idea what's under the hood or any other particulars.

Hopefully he comes out again so I can quiz him.

That's not just just a 2 door Wagon, it's a 57 Safari wagon.

American Pontiac version of Chevy's Nomad......not sold in Canada.

Much rarer than the Nomad.

Only 1300 produced for 1957.

For the three years being produced Pontiac made 9,000 Safaris compared to Chevy's Nomad which had made 20,000

Beautiful car.

I have seen this beauty before on the net. Very rare and very beautiful. To dream is to have a garage with a 57 Pontiac Safari wagon and a 57 Chev Nomad wagon.

That is really nice. the colours are nice, the wire wheels are nice, the subtle de-chroming of the hood is nice. Early 60's steering wheel & console. Originally that car would have come with a 347 Pontiac. A 370 or early 389 would be a visual clone.
