69 Grand Parisiene being actioned today in Calgary

Clint had a chance to check out the car and it's not quite as nice as in the photos. Faded repaint, slight rust in wheel wells. Cracked nosecone, windshield chip, rust on hood, signs of cracking bondo etc. Buckets and console is rarely seen. Has 300HP 350.

What a car in it's day.

I have only heard of the Grande Parisienne with the bucket option, never seen one in person.

Notice the dash block out for the shift indicator.

I wanted to log on but can't from my phone for some reason.

Love to know what it goes for.

I will be back in a Grande some day !

I decided to sign up and watch the show.

About 15 cars away.

Some cars are going way over market.

I took a look at it last night. If I was in the need of another car, I probably have everything this one needs to really spruce it up.

I really liked the survivor 55 Chevy 210 (lot A528). I've seen guys start with a lot less.

Bid to $6500. No sale. Apparently seller wants $7500-8000.

That one in Kelowna for 8 is still for sale and its very solid. All depends how much someone wants them.

Same interior as my 1969 Caprice Classic with the 427 -390 hp 4 speed. I always liked the diamond stich pattern. I parted a couple of the 69 -70 2t2 Pontiacs with the 350 300 hp engines. Engines were donated to dirt track stock cars that had to run factory engines. If only we could turn back the time clock and preserve what we parted out years ago.

I would be very proud to own this car but my heart in to the Grande Parisiennes and I already have the convertible.

Definitely, the cleanest 1969 on the market right now.

My friend in Calgary works for Michener

Here are his comments. .... I asked if he drove the car....

Yes I did.  It would have been a project car for whoever

would have bought it.  A little rough around the edges.

We had about 80 in this year's sale, and like past years

two auction lanes were used simultainsly  and I drove 6

through the lane I was working.  According to Michener

Allen's owner the Monday after the sale we had about

a 46% sale rate.  Not a bad sale at all.

***  With this job Dave gets to drive every imaginable vehicle onto the auction table.
