Also could use suggestions for radiator and heater core for same car. Would it be wise to re-core old stuff or is there proper fit new product out there.
You'd probably like to investigate whether your 1965 would use the same power steering & alternator brackets as up to 1968. I'm presuming it's the same, but others can likely chime in.
For 1969 they moved the alternator over to the passenger side, but I can't remember what year they switched from short water pump to long water pump. I know 1967 still used the short water pump, I'm just not sure about 1968.
Answers ... 396/402 ... headers ... not positive on water pump. Is a 283 powerglide car with power brakes (4 x drum) no power steering (I have steering box, pitman arm, pump w/reservoir,hoses and brackets for small block).
OK ... blank slate ... that is why I'm polling the audience - "experts". I have an new aluminum GM # 3975928 (also#5421 & RF09) water pump left over from a previous swap (I used a reverse flow pump supplied with a serpentine kit from GM). Was not aware of pulley differences - thank you.
Carl .. As per previous observation you seem to be one of the "go to" people on this site. Thank you sir. If you or others have more brainwaves please elaborate and I will be greatly appreciative.
