Looking for BIG BLOCK power steering and alternator brackets for a 65 Parisienne.

Also could use suggestions for radiator and heater core for same car. Would it be wise to re-core old stuff or is there proper fit new product out there.

You'd probably like to investigate whether your 1965 would use the same power steering & alternator brackets as up to 1968. I'm presuming it's the same, but others can likely chime in.

For 1969 they moved the alternator over to the passenger side, but I can't remember what year they switched from short water pump to long water pump. I know 1967 still used the short water pump, I'm just not sure about 1968.

When you say Big Block I am assume a Mark  IV engine but seeing that it is a `65 you wouldn't be looking for 409 parts would you?

Yes, we need more details please.

Short or long water pump?

396 or 409?

Are you using stock manifolds or headers?

Answers ... 396/402 ... headers ... not positive on water pump. Is a 283 powerglide car with power brakes (4 x drum) no power steering (I have steering box, pitman arm, pump w/reservoir,hoses and brackets for small block).

Ok, when you say you don't know, that is because you haven't bought the pump yet, or because you are unsure how to identify the two different styles?

If you use the short pump, I'm not sure if the stock 396 lower alternator bracket works with headers.

I may have the power steering pump brackets for the short pump.

Also, are you aware that the pulleys have to be matched to the brackets, i.e. short style pump has one style of pulley, long pump a different style?

OK ... blank slate ... that is why I'm polling the audience - "experts". I have an new aluminum GM # 3975928 (also#5421 & RF09) water pump left over from a previous swap (I used a reverse flow pump supplied with a serpentine kit from GM). Was not aware of pulley differences - thank you.

Ok, good, that helps.

It sure looks as if that pump is a direct fit on an original 396 in 66. I'll try to take a look later today. I may have some stuff to help you.

You'll have to have someone else answer the question about the lower alternator bracket, as to whether or not it works with headers.

These would be the two alternator brackets.

And this should fix you up for power steering.

Carl .. As per previous observation you seem to be one of the "go to" people on this site. Thank you sir. If you or others have more brainwaves please elaborate and I will be greatly appreciative.

This should be the crank pulley-

And this one goes behind it for the power steering belt.

I just used google and picked the first I found. I'm sure some suppliers sell them all.
