Ok, thanks. Few other dealers around here were Riverdale Mercury, O'Connor Dodge and Dentonia Ford.
.......and don't forget Frank Roland Ford Mercury at O'Connor and VP across from the mushroom farm......ooooeeee!!
I will post some photos of all of them tomorrow. Rowland Mercury came to exist when Paul Willison Lincoln Mercury ended their franchise agreement with Ford and switched to Chrysler. Ford didn't want the area to go out without a Ford dealer so Rowland Mercury came to exist. (Switch occurred in 1962)
If Willison Ford was at the location that would become Willison Chysler, then it was on the south side of Eglinton a few blocks east of the DVP. From the article posted previously it sounds like that was the case.

This was Willison's new place........they used to be at St. Clair and O'Connor where I went to see the new Turbine.
(Fall 63 or spring 64)
Still have the brochure the salesman gave out.

Willison Mercury had two locations. Their former location was actually leased to O'Connor Dodge from 1975 to 1980. Then O'Connor closed down once the lease was up.
Uhhh, hum ... GM dealers of Toronto is the subject.

Ok,
There was a dealer at Jarvis and Lakeshore called Harbour Chev back in the mid 70s that I rembered as a kid seeing the 78 Nova there.
Across from Chum Radio on Yonge St was a Chevy dealer in the mid 80s. Forgot their name.
Albert Shelman owned Harbour Chevrolet, which existed really briefly. It was originally called Shelman Chevrolet, located at 215 Lakeshore Blvd E. It folded after less than 16 months after being told it would not get Oldsmobile to sell in addition to Chevrolet. Parkwood Cadillac(which became Somerset) would eventually move to 291 Lakeshore Blvd E, which was a block away from Shelman Chevrolet. He also owned Cross-Town MG-Austin-Jaguar located at 154 Vaughan Rd.
