Finally, after 34 years I'm going to see ZZ Top in concert. I'v been a fan since age 16. They are playing in Summerside this Tuesday night. I bought tickets months ago and got great seats.
'64 Parisienne CS "barn find" - last on the road in '86 ... Owner Protection Plan booklet, original paint, original near-mint aqua interior, original aqua GM floor mats, original 283, factory posi, and original rust.
Enjoy Todd! I've never seen them live but have been a fan for a long time. We considered trying to get tickets but it was too late when we found out about the concert.
Make sure to update this thread with a concert report after the fact!
I won a contest through a radio station in Vancouver, years ago, and got to go to their concert in a limo, a new suit (Sharp Dressed Man) and after-party meet the band tickets. It was awesome and they were so cool. Little trivia, the member WITHOUT the beard, has a name of Frank Beard.
Todd, a great band to love and appreciate. I have been a big fan since 1975 when i bought Tres Hombres and have loved them ever since with every disc up to After burner. As most folks know Billy Gibbons is a major hot rod and old car guy and has been for a very long time. Enjoy the ZZ Top event.

Todd, don't forget, you have to run to Dollarama today.
"Go get yourself some cheap sun-glasses...."
And, make sure you are a "Sharp Dressed Man".
I have to say, whenever I hear Sharp Dressed Man on the radio, I can't help but get this image of Don Cherry in my mind as if you remember, he used this song in one of the "Rockem Sockem" videos.
I saw them in 2003 in Nashville during GM's big celebration of the Corvette turning 50-it was a great event and a great concert as well!!!!Enjoy!!!!
Keep on Cruising!!!
Dave
Just got back from the show. Had a FANTASTIC time. We had great seats. The band sounds as good as they did 30 years ago. They played all the favorites from the early days to now. My only beef is I wish they had played longer. They were on about an hour. A few photos from my crappy cell phone:

Glad to hear they played all the old hits and favorites. Nothing worse then going to see your favorite band or artist to hear all the old hits and they play their "new" stuff that no one wants to hear. The last time that happened to me was going to see Colin James somehow thinking he is going play all his older good stuff and he plays nothing but new songs that no one has ever heard. Big disappointment on that one! But ZZ Top doesn't disappoint!
Somewhat disappointed although that you did not post a pic of yourself in your tribute ZZ Top concert get up.
