'64 Parisienne CS "barn find" - last on the road in '86 ... Owner Protection Plan booklet, original paint, original near-mint aqua interior, original aqua GM floor mats, original 283, factory posi, and original rust.
I was surprised it fit so well. How heavy is a 6.2?

I think a 6.2 weighs about 650 or 700 lbs. about the same size outside as a 454. I actually pulled a diesel out of an 86 GMC and replaced it with a 454.
For my money, if I'm going to go to the trouble of an engine swap it's going to be something more fun to drive - like a 454...
But I'm not much of a fan of diesels in the first place, so it already had one strike against it in my books...
Would rather have the original six, to be honest. A nice healthy small block would probably wake it up pretty nice, though... or a 409... or a 454 or... a modern LS... no diesels for me.
