Quite decent looking car but for some reason the 4 door hardtops just aren't popular.

Like that it has speed minder. This is a feature, that to me, makes a lot more sense and a lot safer than cruise control.

Very nice!  I for one love 4-door hardtops, and recognize that it is an extinct body style - likely never to be seen again.

Any more information?  Has the body been done before, or does it have original panels?

Love the hideaways - the '68 GPs are one of my favourites, and additionally unique from the US Grand Prix line in that the hideaways were available in the fastback hardtop, 4-door hardtop, and wagon.  Very cool cars.

That is a real sharp looking car, I also like the 4 door hardtop styling of the '68 and to me the originality of this car is the biggest selling feature. Those wheel discs are so nice and a 327 is a nice engine in this car. I also think he has it priced in the ball park, a good selling strategy when you actually want to sell the car.

She was repainted in 2014 or 2015 and as far as I know the metal is original however if you phone Carl he can give you more details.

Interesting that the 68 4 door has the vent window at the front but the 68 2 door like mine is the big window with no vent.

Couldn't agree more.  This one's a great candidate to be kept original!  Seems the original non-hot rodded cars are getting harder and harder to find these days.

True. Here are a few more pics of this car. This car is actually pictured on Wikipedia; the small photo below with occupants in it can be found on Wikipedia.

I always said that the 68 Grande hideaway front end was one that accidentally got produced true to a GM concept car. One that got by the bean counters so to speak.

Nice example this one. 8 grand is well priced.

Good luck to him.  Hope he finds a buyer who will really appreciate it for what it is.

It's a beauty.  What colour is it?  It looks like a charcoal grey on my monitor, but don't really see a colour like that listed on the paint chart (copied from another thread on this site).

I'm color blind so can't tell you precisely but I'm told it's green. Not sure if it's the original green or not.

Thanks guys, it looks like it must be Sequoia Green.  I looked up some other cars in that colour and that is what they look like  - dark green/grey.  The green probably comes out more in the bright sun I imagine.
