Monday, I took apart a 1971 Pontiac Formula Firebird 400 engine that I purchased a couple years ago and noticed that all bearings were down to copper from detonation, one also had spun and left scars and copper on the crankshaft rod journal surface. So, today I took the crank to work to have it magnafluxed checked and like I suspected it is cracked on one of the journal right close by a weight, a little more abuse and the engine would have destroyed / blew itself up ! Time to find another crankshaft ...

If not there is one here for you.. They are magged and checked and I have not sold one in years so I can at least give one away if you get stuck for one.. Just have to figure out how to get it out there.. from Kamloops.. Bus maybe.. The wife would just smile from ear to ear if I got rid of one of those heavy things she said she would never move if I passed on lol......
