well i found it with MAGIC R he came down to my place , he is the only member here that lives arround
he came to my garage with a hinge ( GM NOS ) to compare with mine.........same thing as a repro. we took off the hood and the spring and finally observed the hinge lever that could not come completely flat because it was touching the inner fender bolt that was coming out of the nut on the inner fender ( wich bolts to the fender )
i have to give it to Aldeo , he noticed that obstruction of the movement. That combined with my hood that is slighly bent , but not much.
another one solved , not easy when you reassemble a car after 10 years !! ....... and you dont do this kind of work all day long .

Bonus..... It is amazing what happens when you get another pair of eyes looking at a problem. That's one to remember

AND TO MAKE IT EVEN BETTER , I WILL HAVE TO GROOVE A BIT THE BACK SLOT ( CLOSEST TO THE FIREWALL ) TO GIVE THE HINGE MORE PLAY TO BRING THE BACK OF THE HINGE DOWN MORE .
