New member here, was looking to replace the signal light switch in the steering column on my 67 Beaumont. Does anyone know if I need one for a Chevelle or Lemans? Anybody have a part #? Thanks in advance

If I am right, there were 2 choices for 67. I think you need to be careful if you are ordering one. Do you have your's apart?
I think the two manufacturers for those were Guide and Boyne, and they may not interchange.

Shoot, there's more choices than I remembered. Here's the GM parts book scan for 67.
And I see it's Boyne and Delco, not Boyne and Guide.

Carl is right, there were 2 used in 67. some beaumonts have boyne, some guide. The boyne ones are really crap, hopefully you have the guide one, its then the same as a chevelle. IF you are the least bit handy, the conversion from a boyne to a guide is do-able. I have done a few

Wow, I just read that link you posted. I thought it was as simple as some wiring connector changes. Not so!

It helps if you can find a 67 guide housing, otherwise you do have to do some diegrinder work. The end result is worth it tho. Especially for a daily driver. The guide switches are the same as all the other gm cars and trucks, right thru the 70's, so parts are easy to find. The stupid boyne ones seem to be just on GTO, lemans, 67, 68 era. (and the odd beaumont). so good luck finding one in the junk yards. Also the boyne ones seem to always be broken. 20 years of experience never finding a good one!

The Boyne switches were also used on some 1967 and 1968 Corvettes. My 1968 Beaumont has the Boyne switch. I replaced mine 13 or 14 years ago. A reproduction Boyne switch is now available. When I replaced mine they were not. I had to pay up for a NOS switch. James

One more question regarding the Boyne switch, does anybody know if the difference between #5699993 and #5698520 just the bulb for the column shift? if so, I can get one for a Corvair on Rock Auto for a decent price, bulb isn't important.

Just revisiting this topic... Found a Boyne switch on Rock Auto, put it in this spring. Shoulda did the conversion to the Delco switch, it didn't even last the summer. Just put the car away for the winter, guess I have a future project.
