Just signed up from the Okanagan BC. I've owned the wagon for 19 years but it's been parked for the last 5. Getting it back on the road for next year. I put it on bags in 2004. It still has the 261 but a T5 sits behind it since the 3 speed gave up. This winter however it's getting a Pontiac OHC Sprint motor, once I figure out how to do it, I haven't found anyone who has documented that swap online. Maybe it's a first. At least it's a Pontiac motor. Looks like this place has lot's of good info. Knowledge is power as they say.

Welcome here. I suspect I'm not the only one looking forward to seeing pictures of your car and knowing more about it!

Thanks. I'll try and dig some out from when it was last on the road. It's still a bit to buried in the shop right now to get a good look.

Welcome to CP, looking forward to seeing pictures. Know nothing about the Pontiac 6 but remember seeing several of them back in the day.

Thanks for the welcome.
Although I've had this wagon a long time, it's my first North American car. Being from the UK and from an air cooled VW background (hence the wheels) there is still a lot I don't know.
The car is unpainted and unwelded and was parked since 89 when I bought it in Osoyoos in 2003. I had it running in an hour and on the road the next summer with the air suspension, CPP disc brakes all round and some 20" rims. (Now gone, but I liked them at the time.) Lots of room under a Canadian Pontiac without that wide track. Here are a few pics from 5 or 6 years ago. Just in case you are wondering, a few of my friends and I have a thing for wagons.
I hope you know that the feature cars on Canadian Pontiac do NOT have to be perfectly restored flawless cars. Your car is a perfect candidate for a feature car.

Cheers. It has a great patina as it's been the desert it's whole life. I'm not a guy who is going to paint it.
