I like that it's spring. I don't like that I didn't get as much done on this car over the winter as I had hoped for but we had quite a long time away this winter too. So be it.
Anyway, I had to take it off the hoist the other day to do some maintenance on our daughter's car so I took a few pics while it was outside.
When I was young, yellow was way down my list for colour choice on these cars but I really started to like it many years ago.
Nice car. especially the colour! Did it have a vinyl roof originally or do all Grande.s have that moulding?

I believe the Ken the former owner added them. It was originally a solid yellow paint job just like it is but I think minus the mouldings.
On Canadian Beaumonts, Chevelles and Novas for a few years you could order D99 two-tone mouldings as an option but I'm not so sure it was allowed on the full size cars.

Hmm, not so bad. I think I still like with the wheel well open but that's not all bad.
Do your wheels have SS inserts on the caps? If so, are you aware you can get repro "Magnum 500" inserts for the caps? I bought a set a few years ago.

No need for CS caps, tell people the wheels are off a 1970 Acadian SS. All in the family.

I'd forgotten your Custom Sport was an original power antenna car. You better start looking for an original 66 Corvette power antenna (virtually identical to the Pontiac unit) before they become unavailable and/or unobtainable.

Actually the vinyl top moldings were on the car when I got it but it was not a vinyl top car so I don't know why it had them. Only thing I can figure is that it was owned as a demo by the Enerson family of Enerson motors of Lethbridge and they might have intended to put a vinyl top on but never did. Just as well really.

The CS and GP antenna is not the same as the Caprice though from what I've seen. The 66 full size Canadian Pontiacs (not US, just Canadian) use a very unique antenna that is almost totally 66 Corvette.
I'll have to see what I can find for the 67 Caprice.

exacly what i thought about red cars or red interior before
Mellow Yellow. Looks nice out in the sun.
Ah the big yellow barge. Brings a tear to my eye! It sure does look loved!
Cute that your avatar has the yellow car but the wheels on it in my pic are on your red car!
Slow but steady progress. I had so hoped to have it all done by now but it just wasn't to be.
I keep picking away at it as time permits.
I know its not your cup of tea Carl but I would really like to see a picture with her skirts on
I'll do that sometime but I don't think they'd look right with the Magnum 500's?
