Greetings! I'm missing the trunk lock retainer plate for my '69 Laurentian. Looks like all 69 are the same. But I see Frank's has a US one that is definitely different.
Any chance someone has a spare retainer from a Canadian car? It'd be part number 7719520 I think!
Thanks! Dave

I ordered a new lock cylinder 10 years ago for an Impala. It came with the retainer. Its the one made out of spring steel and slides in between the sheet metal and the lock, right?

It says this one is a replacement for part #7719520.
That new one is a lot nicer than anything I have.
It's too bad the rubber seal doesn't come with it.

This is a photo of the true, October 1968 trunk lock retainer hole area.
A member had asked if the screw hole was original to his car.
There are so many mid-year changes with 1969 full size cars, I would never rule things out.
But it does seem to me as the retainer was always secured with a screw.

Thanks for the confirmation Randy!
