Jerry..........You do know that Canadian law specifically states that those cars cannot leave the country......They must be returned ASAP.............

Seriously......Are you a transplanted Canuk....or did you come here to get them, found them down there??? Enquiring minds want to know....................

Harry,
I saw my first Acadian Canso when I went to the Kruse Auction in Auburn,  Indiana a little over 2 years ago. I had never owned a Nova, but my wife had. She told me before I went that if I bought anything, to get a Nova. The 67 Canso was in excellent shape and a fair price. The owner was going right past my home on his way back home, so I even got some free transport. This car came out of Canada years ago and was owned by a previous owner in Virginia, before going to Alabama for a few years. It is a Canso, but has ALL the Sport Deluxe options, inside and out, except for the fender louvers.  The more I researched the Canadian cars, the more I fell in love with them.
The 67 Acadian Canso Sport Deluxe came from Red Deer, Alberta this past August.  It is a correct V-8 Sport Deluxe that someone put a (L79) in. I have not completely verified exactly what the motor is. It has a lot of L79 parts, but a incorect block that I think may have L79 pistons, etc. It was once a show car because of all the chrome and being finished undernieth. It has a 3 step House of Color Candy Apple Red exterior.
The 67 Beaumont SD I saw for sale in Cleveland.  I have had it a little over 2 months. I have completely redone the interior, altough it was not bad to start, just some bad fits on the carpet, mars on seats and door panels. The drivetrain is all original. I have put  a few items under the hood to make it correct (cables, etc).  I really enjoy driving the Beaumont.
I have had several Corvettes in the past.  I presently have a 1954.  I think restoring that car (and belonging to the NCRS) has really given me a respect for original and correct cars. I really enjoy the cars, but I also look at them as a investment. I think the Canadian cars will go up in value in the future because of the ability to document them and their rarity.  Most people in the US have not seen Canso's and Beaumonts.

Jerry, I believe that car belonged to my buddy Dwayne in Red Deer. He told me that he had sold it to an American buyer last summer. It is a pretty nice car and Dwayne spent a few bucks on it over the years that he had it, but he never drove it that much. I live in Calgary which is about 80 miles South of Red Deer and have a '66 Canso SD. http://www.telusplanet.net/public/kanso/index.htm

Wayne,  I believe Dan had gotten in touch with you after I purchased the car because he thought you knew the car and owner.  He later told me that you had known the owner.  I wish I could have gotten more history on the car (and still do). Any information you could find out would be really appreciated.
