That looks like one I almost purchased in Calgary, around '80-81. The one I looked at had a 421 in it and was fully loaded. Shoulda bought that, same color, same price too.$800.

I don't know if it's the same car or not but about two years ago a fellow in Airdrie, AB had a similar colour Canadian Grand Parisienne wagon for sale. It was billed as a factory 396 car with non-original engine as I recall. It was for sale for quite some time, along with a nice turquoise 68 Parisienne wagon, also with a factory 396.
Yes, I still have have the telephone number of the fellow who was advertising both cars. Ad for the 68 last ran last summer. I haven't seen the ad for the 67 since about 18 months ago. Price came down a lot on the 67 but the advertised price for the 68 remained $11K. for the better part of year that it was for sale. For reasons of the guy's privacy I'm reluctant to post the number here as the ad is no longer running, but if you want to e-mail me directly I'll send it to you.
Hey Carl/Guys/Gals!! Just new here as of today.. I believe I have this Wagon. Bought it and plated it on Nov 1/03. Got it out of 'Stoon and paid a "grande" for it. Was sitting, if this is the one, at the Great Canadian Oil Change store on 22th. The drivers door is faded as the pic you have posted. I was looking for a wagon to kinda finish my production. I have the 4-dr Strato and Laurentian, 2+2 Rag, 2+2 Fastback, 4-Dr H/T Grande and now working to get a 2-Dr Grande. Great looking car but verrrrry rusty to say the least. He must have kept it in a garage but never washed the undercarriage as it was "M.I.A". Nice interior, with the original "GF" 283 and glide. Was a GM of Canada Zone Stock Regina car with only 8 options. Very plain jane I must say! But on the upside, only 698 were produced and the only year for hideaways on a Pontiac Wagon and I believe not even the American Wagons got them! As for the car? A '68 is being converted into the '67 as like I said, an anchor sitting on the bottom of the Atlantic for 10 years would have less rust!!! The Green Wagon in the second pic is the new and improved and the original is to the left and further up the pic. Will keep in contact...........
Thanks for the welcome!!! Well, what you see is probably not even half of what I own, and maybe that isn't always a good thing!!! They are all like little babies, sooo many mouths to feed and as many "rear ends" to clean............. And of course, in many stages of maturity from the just arrived to the will never leave the nest! But, they keep me hopping.........
Can't remember who I bought it from. Would have to dig up the paperwork. Did Brad not know where it went? I was looking, not hard core mind you, for a wagon and this one happened to fall in my lap via a buddy of mine here whom I had mensioned it to a week or 2 before! Any pics of your wagon? This was the first physical one I had seen. I never seem to find the well optioned cars of this sort. Picked over, it would seem....
I will have to look for it. This is from the early 80's. I have either one or two photos of it I think. Sad when I think about it. A friend bought it and I helped him salvage the engine for a 66 Camino. The car was crushed because about a foot of the frame was rotten.

There is a funny story about that car. On Boxing Day, 1981 or 1982 I think, it was parked on a side street in front of my friends apartment in Winnipeg. We where gone for the day in the friend's car and when we came back, the drivers rear door had a big dent in it. I was standing there looking at it trying to figure out what had happened when someone came from the apartment and said "I bet you'd like to know what happened to your car".
My car had a full size van parked behind it. Apparently, a car had been coming along the street going east, the same direction my car was facing. It's a narrow side street where you have to wait behind parked cars until oncoming traffic comes by. The driver coming up behind the van and my car misjudged when he pulled out behind the van after a car went by. He clipped the left rear corner of the van with his front end. It spun his small car right around (there would have been some snow on the streets) and his left rear corner smashed into the driver's side of my wagon. All he hit was the left rear door of my car, nothing else. He supposedly looked around, thought nobody had seen it and took off to avoid being caught. Someone witnessed it and called the cops. When they came to check it out, his front licence plate was lying underneath the van!!! The witness (in the apartment block) said the police had him back at the scene an hour or two later, and when I looked under my wiper, there was a note from the constable with a brief story and a police report number.
It was not that easy to find a door for the car but I did find one and ordered a brand new woodgrain stick on decal from GM for the replacement door. The car was actually written off but the body shop agreed to repair it on a contract price with the insurance company.

No wonder I can't find any.....TSK times a thousand!!!!!!!!! I would hope most or all of its vital organs were saved as well? Hmmm, never seen load leveling on one yet......But knowing those times, sure most of it went into the crusher as well!!!! Picked up another 4-dr h/t last month, first one I have seen with cruise. Was a 396, M40 (THM400), p/w, tilt car. But no discs, tint or other cool options. Haven't looked to see what was in it for a diff yet. Probably high 2's or low 3's i'm sure.......
So you likely don't want to know about the 67 2+2 hardtop I crushed. Pulled the 396 out of it and the buckets. It had a brand new GM quarter that had been put on the driverer side shortly before I got it, but the other side was rusty so I scrapped the car.....
If there ever was a man with NO foresight, it's me

Well, they say hindsight is 20/20...............Sure would like to find 1/10th of the b/b and well optioned cars you have over the years. But it looks like I am a decade or two too late!! But, will keep up the hunt and for sure.....
That was a cool wagon! What kind of guy would wreck a car like that ??
Reminds me of the 68 SD 396 Beaumont a friend parted and dropped off at the shredder. I have the buckets in my Acadian. Sad but true. Better question is... how could we have left the 4piston disc brake setup ??
Oh well... can't retore em all.... at least not on my salary! Gary

I guess back in the day, it was a "wagon"!! Not sporty enough for that big haired '80's generation of hot rodders..........Carl, did you take these pics of my wagon? In the meantime, this 396? I have a very large engine bay for this unhappy growling mill!!! When I licensed the wagon, even though the front pic of the car is unclear, I know the issuer and I picked out its plate. It reads, 396-DNA! I called SGI, Sask Gov Insurance, to inquire about 427 and 454-DNA, but they were already gone. I know of a '66 Parisienne with a 396 but have yet to talk to him. Maybe this weekend..........
