Welcome from Cobourg Ont

Hi Guys. i've met some of ya over on steves nova site, but i'll try to introduce myself and my little red hair stepchild called a 63 beaumont wagon. my dad bought a 67 beaumont wagon new in chilliwack bc and all my life i never saw another beaumont wagon, so a couple of years ago i wanted to build a full in your face hot rod because i already have a 55 gmc (sort of restored but a daily driver) a 78 cj7 jeep (lifted with a 70 lt1 under the hood) and a bunch of vintage japanese bikes from the early 70's. So i was thinking of resurrecting the old 67 from its final resting place up at the old family homestead. Over some beers while i was up in ottawa visting some relatives, my brother in law said they have a 63 beaumont wagon up at their family homestead but it looks like a nova. "wow" this i have to see. the old lady had parked it up at the farm on a large hunk of granite in the junipers in the early 70's. i gave the owner of the farm a case of beer for storage fees and a year later its at my shop. but thats another story.

when my brother in law told me about the car, we did a road trip the next morning because i didn't believe him. so the scoop is acadians had 3 trim levels in the early years, invader (base) canso (middle)and beaumont (deluxe) and then in 64 GM split the line and left invader and canso with the nova body style and switched beaumont over to the chevelle body style. i do remember cruising down carling in the late 70s and parking next to a 67 acadian canso at the mister donut and comparing his car to the 67 acadian beaumont wagon i was driving and the only thing they shared was acadian badge

had to think about this one. the wagon says acadian in large letter on the hood and across the tailgate and in little letters on the flank it says beaumont

Hey Steve,

Tell me the six cylinder is still in the car and it runs.... It would be a blast to see a six cylinder wagon back on the streets. Welcome from Victoria.

Damn too quick with that post button again.

Steve email with the VIN number found on the drivers side door jam and the cowl tag found on the firewall above the heater box on the passenger side and I'll decode.

it got push back in the shop to make room for a 70 convertible for the wife. right now it has been moved to the front to make room in the yard as in it needs a chassis so i can shove it around, then it will get archived again till at least next year.
