Oh, and here I was thinking American Pontiac style. I only had the independently mounted gauge on the brain. I was thinking console mount only, not in dash.
Was it standard on a 65 Custom Sport like it was on a 65 Impala SS?
THAT is why the book has one listed. Mystery solved.

The 65 Parisienne Custom Sport carried the vacuum gauge as one of the three in the pods over the radio. I picked one up in Barrie in the late 80s, and installed it in my 65 Parsienne convt in place of the clock. I left it in the car when I sold it in '96.
I have to take a few new digitals. The old photos are too fuzzy and don't represent the car as it is today. Will post as soon as I can. But basically it is a 35,000 mile 69 Parisienne sport coupe, 427/335, T400, 12 bolt posi, factory N10 dual exhaust, bench seat, all power options including PDB, PS, PDL, PW, P Seat, tilt, sport steering wheel, & working comfortron AC, with owner added rear sway bar, softray tinted glass, Torque Thrust wheels and a Bonneville grille. Even though it's supposedly the "low performance" version in a heavy car, all that 427 torque really throws you back in the seat when you hit the gas pedal and it's harder to handle than my hemi Dodge Magnum, which is itself a very quick car.
That's it. I wasn't in the market for a 69 Pontiac at the time. I bought it only because it was a 427. I watched it for a long time but didn't move on it until the price came down a lot. Does anyone here know anything abut this car? It gets noticed where I live because no one I know has ever seen a 427 Pontiac.
