'60 Parisienne Trunk Floor Pans

 Hi,
I need to replace the trunk floor pans in my '60 Parisienne...I don't think repops are available.
Looks like maybe '60 Chevy reproduction pans would work, but I don't know that for sure.
I haven't had a chance to compare a chevy side by side with mine.
I assume the American Pontiac pans won't work because of the difference in the frame and size.
Anyone out there familiar with replacing the trunk floor pans in a '60  Parisienne? confused

Are there any after-market companies out there that offer specific parts for the Canadian models?

 Curt

type in Across Canda Auto PARTS and sign in as guest.. they have 63-70 Pontiac pans .  I would think that 1960 chev pans will be, as close as you will ever get... you can e-mail CROSS CANADA FOR THEIR OPINION  Carl 2  idea

I just talked to a guy last week who is restoring a 60 Parisienne sedan for a customer. He has to do the trunk floor and thought the 60 Chevy pieces would work as a direct fit. What he is finding is that they have to be modified quite a bit. He didn't say what the issue is and I didn't pursue it because my car is a 62and the trunk is good.

 John,
  I was afraid of that.
Wonder if it has to do with body mount location?
I thought the frames were pretty much the same as the '60 Chevys...hmmm, maybe not.

FYI.
I received this info from Aubrey over the weekend...
Curt, fortunately, your car is a Chevrolet. all the floor, trunk, even firewall,
are Chevrolet.

Floor pans are available from  Cars Inc.
CARS Inc.
2600 Bond Street
Rochester Hills, MI. 48309
U.S.

I have been following this thread with interest. While I don't have and have never had an "X" frame car, I was always taught that the Canadian Pontiacs and the Chevys always had the same frame and had assumed the floors were the same.

Great to know. I wonder if its the same for the 65 and up styles? In the case of the Bonnevilles, because of the longer wheelbase. I would think not.

I never knew for sure about the frames, because of conflicting info that I'd come across.
I knew the American Bonnevilles were alot longer, but didn't realize the American Catalina and Venturas were somewhat longer as well, in the front clip area...found that out when I tried to use a Catalina front fender trim spear and it was about an 1 3/4" too long...then did a little research to confirm.

The info I posted, was from Aubrey at Bruneau Performance Ent.
He specializes in '61-64 cars, was very helpful and knowledgeable...has a educational website as well.
I also received a reply from a '60 Laurentian owner who said the same, although he had not had the need to replace his pans.
You could contact Bruneau Performance to inquire about the later years.

I have compared photos in Chevy parts catalogs of trunk pans (available as 4 sections, left, right center and front) with my trunk floor...they look right.

Does 64 pontiacs 2dr/ht or a conv. have the same firewall ,door, windshield etc.
I,m looking into trying to marry the 2 ? I,m getting a 327/4sp 2drht, have a conv. 2dr needs floors etc. Would like to know what the real problems would be in doing it

I don't know if this will help, but in the case of my 64 Catalina' the trunk  is completly "flat" whereas the 64 chevy & Pontiac have a "dropped" floor where the spare tire lays down flat, my spare is at the back or trunk tipped on an angle towards back seat. I would think that the 60 Chev & Pontiac would be "close to each other, as platform is the same car???

No trunk or floor pans are manufactured for the US Pontiacs. I'm having to have them made for one of my cars.

I'm surprised no one makes sheetmetal for the full size Pontiacs. I even found a vendor who does floor and trunk pans for my 59 Dodge and you know there are far fewer of those around.
