There was a white one for sale a little over a year ago. I don't remember where it was listed, maybe Craigslist. A month or so after the ad dissapeared, a guy name Chris left a message on my Car Domain page saying he just bought a 68 SD convertible. I responded to the mesage and left one on his page but never heard back from the guy. According to his profile, he is in Vancouver BC. He never updated his profile or put any pictures on his Car Domain page. James
Thats Beautiful!!! I think thats what I'd look for if I ever grow outta my 50's and 60's phase...I owned a 67 Beaumont 4 door for a while and it was an awesome driver, I bought it for a winter beater years ago.(another one I shoulda kept) The closest thing to this that I've owned was a 6cyl, auto 68 chevelle 300 2 door post...Another I shoulda....Oh well.

Gorgeous car!!!!!!!! Cool look with the wider white walls and dog dishes. There were 66 SD Convertibles built in 1968 . From what I've been able to keep track of there are 6 known in Canada and 2 in the States. Bill
Carl, If it's the one that has been undergoing restoration for quite a long time then I know about it. I talked to the owner several years ago when I was looking for another one to buy. It was a nice driver but he wanted to restore it.
I am the owner of the red 68 sd 396 rag-yes it has been a long time restoring it.It is back on the frame again and had new GM NOS quarter panels put on this last summer.I kinda got side tracked with other stuff I was restoring-actually I wanted to learn more about restoring cars before I continued on the SD convertible-it is such a rare car and I wanted to do it very nicely and not have to restore it twice.I guess what I am trying to say is that I wanted to learn on less valuable vehicles and make my mistakes on them rather than on the 68SD RAG.It will be done in the next couple years-it will be worth the wait.
John, If you need any help or advice with the 68 I'd be more then happy to help. After working on the Blue car for 4 plus years I think I have the Beaumont Ragtop restoration thing down to a science. Just let me know if you need anything, Bill Wertheim
John, can you post pics of your other cars, the wagon?... i guess i didnt get out enough the last year or two to see it in person! ... without naming names someone in wpg with the white 66 sd hardtop and a conv. may be hosting a car show at their place of business this summer... perhaps we can really turn it into a good showing of winnipegs canadian pontiacs and beaumonts...
